California bush sunflower (Encelia californica) seeds

California bush sunflower (Encelia californica) was my first true native wildflower love. With sunflowers already having a close place to my heart, it was only fitting the first plants I grew from seed in my journey of native habitat restoration to be a type of sunflower. When I first met this seed, its common name said to me was coastal sunflower and I was told it made a fast-growing, soil restorer for converting yard space back into a suitable habitat for native plants. It takes well to a hearty cutback at most times of the year which then ensures a nearly yearlong bloom.

Each packet comes with 1 Tbsp of seeds. All seeds were gathered from personal growing space, with many seed heads left behind for the birds to enjoy.
